Moyuru Maeda has given concerts throughout France, Europe and Asia in solo recitals and chamber music concerts. Madame Maeda is one of the most important promoters of French Music in Japan where she has performed extensively and given first performances of many important French works of the 20th century.
Her interest in traditional Japanese culture lead her to found the Japanese Vocal ensemble AKANE, which performs traditional and sacred music from both European and Asian tradiitions.
Her work with the American Saxophonist Paul Wehage has lead to her to explore the American repertoire. She recently performed in the world première of Jeffrey Stolet’s Opera Frankenstein in Reims, which she recorded during the Spring of 1999. Upcoming projects include Jean-Thierry Boisseau's new Opera "Neo Konjaku Monogatali" with a libretto by Masumi Yoshida and a recording of French music with Saxophonist Paul Wehage.
