What's New? The Brillaner duo, composed of Shirley Brill, clarinet and Jonathan Aner, piano, have recorded Tailleferre's "Trois Danses de La Nouvelle Cythère" on their new CD Petite Pièce, which is available on their website. The recording is first-rate in every way and highly recommended!
Thérèse Brenet's work for Serpent and Piano De bronze et de lumière has just been published by Musik Fabrik. The work is dedicated to Michel Godard, the Serpent professor at the Paris Conservatory and also to Douglas Yeo, who performed the work's premiere on July 19, 2009 at Connecticut College in the United States. Musik Fabrik has just published a new edition of a work by Ali Ben Sou Alle for Soprano Saxophone and Piano. "Alexandra: Royale - Polka" was dedicated to the Princess of Wales and written for Soualle's concert for the family of the Prince of Wales. The work opens the famous "Royal Album" which was given to the Prince of Wales at this concert. The work is available in our saxophone music catalog. Carson Cooman's The Revelations of Divine Love (Metaphors from Sea and Sky) has been released on CD. This live recording, recorded at the American première at the Memorial Chapel at Harvard University, is now available on Albany Recordings. See below for links to purchase your copy.

As part of the Pierre Jamet collection of historical works for the harp which have been revised, fingered and annotated by the celebrated French harpist Marie-Claire Jamet and by Christian Lardé, professeur honoraire of Flute at the Paris Conservatory, a new edition of Naderman's Sonate no. III for Flute and Harp has been prepared using a 19th century first edition in the papers of Pierre Jamet as the musicological source. This new editions will be performed in concert at the Camac Harp Festival in Lille on October 2, 2009. Other works are in preparation. Gian Paolo Chiti's work to celebrate the Chopin centennial Chopin Promenade for String Quartet has just been published and is available for performance, perhaps in conjuction with the String quartet/quintet versions of the two Chopin Piano concerti. David Hurd has been named the American Organ Guild's 15th Distinguished Composer. Dr Hurd will have a commissioned work premièred at the AGO National Convention July 4-8, 2010 in Washington DC. After several years of diligent work, the reconstruction of Germaine Tailleferre's 1951 opera "Il était un Petit Navire" is almost complete.
