Marie-Piere WATTIEZ was born in Paris in 1969. She began her musical studies as a pianist and then received her diploma in Musicology at the Sorbonne. Her vocal studies were essentially with the noted French Soprano Mandy Mesplé. In addition, she participated in Masterclasses with such noted teachers as : Vera ROSZA, Marin ISEPP, Pali MARINIV, Richard MILLER... Marie-Pierre WATTIEZ has sung under the direction of John-Elliott GARDINDER, Sir Goerg SOLTI, Carlo-Maria GIULINI and is a frequent participant in the productions and recordings of the Concert Spiritual with Hervé NICQUET. She is a permanent member of the "Carmina Sacra"Ensemble, solistes de Notre Dame de Paris, spcialised in the Sacred Music of the Rennaisance. In addition to her work as a concert singer, she is also Professor of voice at the Conservatory of Tours, France. |
